Something Is Hiding in the Static

Halloween arrived a little early this year.

Cliff Potts & the AI Rebellion released The Truth Beneath the Static on September 23, 2026, a Halloween album built from some of the strange and unsettling horror stories that appeared during October 2025.

This isn’t a documentary, a warning from beyond the grave, or evidence that something evil has taken control of your Wi-Fi router.

It’s entertainment.

Probably.

The album takes those earlier stories and turns them into musical horror: strange narratives, uncomfortable ideas and things that sound considerably less reassuring once somebody puts them to music.

The Last Update

One track has already escaped the album.

“The Last Update” received its own music video on September 23, featuring Dora of the AI Rebellion. She looks somewhat older than we’re accustomed to seeing her, while delivering the song through the track’s distinctly male robotic voice.

Does that make sense?

Not particularly.

Stories That Refused to Stay Stories

That’s really what makes The Truth Beneath the Static different. These weren’t originally conceived as songs. They began as horror stories in October 2025 and eventually mutated into something else entirely.

Now they have voices. They have music. One of them even has Dora staring back at us from a video while somebody else’s mechanical voice comes out of her mouth.

Halloween is still more than a month away.

Apparently nobody told the Rebellion.
